![]() About The Founder Senait AgonaferSenait Agonafer was born on April 10, 1950, to her parents W/O Getenesh Mantegafto and Ato Agonafer Yemiru in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Senait finished her junior and high schools in Ethiopia. In 1974, Senait received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Addis Ababa University. After completing her education, Senait taught for three years at Teferi Mekonnen, and worked for more than seven years at Pastor Institute as a medical technologist in the Hematology Department. Senait came to the U.S. in 1987 and received her Masters Degree from San Francisco State University in May, 1990. She was a wonderful sister to all her family members, and a great support when needed. Senait attended the Ethiopian Christian Church in Oakland since 1988 and was a full-time volunteer worker since 1993. During this time, Senait was an active member and willing participant in various church activities. Senait filled the following much-needed positions: Bible study leader, preacher, worship leader, counselor, home evangelist and more. Senait was always an honest, dedicated member with a warm and caring nature. Her willingness to work in whatever capacity possible was truly an asset to the church and her community. In addition to all this, Senait had a huge heart for her people in Ethiopia. Because of her commitment to help her people, she started supporting prison fellowship in Ethiopia and built 3 chapels. She also helped needy children in Ethiopia. Last, but not least, she supported several evangelists to minister the word of God to our people throughout Ethiopia. Our sister Senait fought the good fight of faith, she has finished the race and has kept the faith. On January 22, 2001 Evangelist Senait Agonafer departed to her Lord and Savior. Thank God, her legacy will carry on. Senait's younger sister Meseret Agonafer has organized the entire family to continue their sister's ministry. We are very pleased so far: we have already built nine chapels, we have over sixty children that we are supporting on a regular basis, and have nine evangelists working with our ministry to share the word of God throughout Ethiopia. Senait's entire family is committed to continue the work that their sister started and will carry on her legacy by serving Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Our Mission:
